I fail at drinking coffee and coffee-like drinks.

So, I made some instant coffee as I often do and added it to hot soymilk and put it into my thermos, as I often do, and shook it up to mix up the coffee and make it nice and latte-like. After a couple minutes of shaking, I open up the lid to drink it and it sprays EVERYWHERE. All over the wall. Over my laptop and cords. Over my bedsheets. “FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-,” I proclaimed as I watched the streams of coffee drip down my wall, not unlike blood from some B-rated horror flick. So, I rushed to get a roll of paper towels to clean that shit up. Luckily, it looks as though there aren’t any stains on the wall. Just need to wash my sheets. They’re overdue, anyway. The lesson here is that when you change ingredients, don’t expect them to react in the same way. I normally use almond milk and have never had this happen.

Over the past week or so, I keep thinking someone is pounding on the door, but in reality, it’s one of my roommates pounding on his 360 to get it to work. That’s amusing to me.

Ate at BJ’s with some friends from work on Friday. Mmm, BJ’s. I love BJ’s, don’t you? Then we watched Shutter Island. Good movie overall, but I discovered the twist way too early.

I think I’ll go to Japantown today. Why? Because I haven’t been there and I don’t want to spend all day inside again. I should really bring my camera. Then maybe I’ll see Alice In Wonderland at The Metreon.

Plants Vs. Zombies is also awesome.

Still need to find a new job.

Dream Diary #6 & 7

I must be working too much.

#6. I’m in this made-up mall that I’ve had several dreams within. I’m looking at shirts in this store and one of my supervisors from work is apparently working there and asks me if I need help with anything. Then, I’m in a large department store looking at these stuffed bears on a poorly pieced together display, which falls apart. The same supervisor apparently works here now and yells at me and I have to start sliding around the floor and then I fling up into the air which fixes the display somehow. I have a lot of dreams about being flung into the air or jumping ridiculously high.

#7. I’m actually at work and apparently I have a porn folder on the computer, there. I go to take a restroom break and a supervisor is at my computer and found the folder. He’s yelling at me about it. That’s about it.

First Blog of 2010

Not a whole lot to say. I just figured I’d post a quick blog to kick off the new year. Today is 01/02/2010 and the date is the same forward as it is backward. It’s been over 600 years since this last happened. I go back to work on Monday and start on the new $1.98 product, with a forced quota and a slew of new rules. Paycheck’s gonna be shit after all these days off. I’m just keeping my hopes up that I’ll be able to keep my job. Didn’t do shit for New Year’s but watch movies and that’s probably how I’ll spend the weekend as well. Zombieland was fucking great. Almost up there with Shaun of the Dead. Had pizza last night for the first time in almost a full year. Das about it.

Fuck you, rain.

I can’t be arsed to take the time to transition this. Script being changed at work. Potential to sell about 5 times as much. I fucking hate the DMV. I went to the one in Oakland Rockridge on Christmas Eve because I knew it wouldn’t be busy. Apparently, I don’t have the right kind of birth certificate to get a California ID. The guy was a fucking ass. However, walking around Rockridge again was marvelous. Went to Trader Joe’s and Starbucks. It was worth the trip. Bought some organic quinoa. Very gut. Stayed home all day on Christmas and ordered in Chinese. 5 days in a row off work has been kind of nice in that it’s given me time to gather my thoughts, however my paycheck is going to be hurting. I think it’s going to be the same thing next week, too, for New Year’s. Need to go to the store and buy some stuff for veggie sammiches. Been watching Dexter. Am on the 6th episode of season 3. Is gud. Apparently, Nebraska and the general midwest was hit with a blizzard, leaving people stranded on Christmas. So glad to be here.

Walked right into the wall two mornings in a row on my way out. I figured I knew this house by now. Accidentally broke a glass yesterday and spilled hot soup on my wrist and all over the floor today. Match those with a few miniscule things here and there makes for one clumsy week. I guess this is one of those short and sweet posts.
